Hello everyone, Dance classes will be held as usual this Sunday, Feb 7 Schedule: 10:00 am - 11:00 am: Beginner Ballet -- Aileen Hui 11:00 am - 12:30 pm: Int/Adv Ballet -- Heather McCaig Announcements: The Caltech Ballet Club will participate in the annual Caltech Dance Show on April 8th and 9th with a classical ballet piece from Don Quixote or Le Corsaire. Please read this email until the very end if you are interested in participating. Artemis Ailianou and Sofia Rivera will choreograph and lead the rehearsals every Sunday after the Int/Adv Class from 12:30 to 1:15 pm starting February 6th. Longer rehearsals will take place closer to the performance dates. Dancers of all levels and experience (including new beginners!) are invited to participate. There will likely be an additional tech rehearsal on April 6th. Class attendance Dancers must commit to attend class every week to both strengthen their technique and to be warm enough to avoid injuries during rehearsal. Rehearsals and absences Rehearsals will start on February 6th. Dancers may not miss more than two rehearsals. If you must miss the rehearsal, please let us know in advance. Attire All female dancers must have their own pink ballet tights and clean pink ballet slippers. Female dancers may want to purchase a nude leotard to wear under their costume (the Ballet Club has some nude leotards available). Male dancers' attire will either be white slippers and white ballet tights or black slippers and black ballet tights. All other costumes and headpieces will be provided by the Ballet Club. You do not need to have a gym membership to enter the gym to take ballet classes with the Caltech Ballet Club and you no longer have to pay an entrance fee even if you are not a student/faculty/staff of Caltech **as long as that is all you do**.
