If Sunday classes aren't enough, there are many other places you could take classes, both in and out of Pasadena. Many of these studios offer open adult ballet classes for all levels in the mornings as well as in the evenings, allowing for flexibility in your busy schedules!
Here's a short list of ballet classes/studios/instructors that we have personal experience with and highly recommend:
Pasadena Dance Theatre
1985 Locust St, Pasadena, CA 91107
Preston Li's Academy of Dance with Preston Li
Multiple locations (see schedule for class times and locations)
Collenette School of Dancing
922 Huntington Dr., San Marino, CA 91108
Align Ballet with Michael Cornell
Many classes available in Los Angeles, West Hollywood, Los Feliz, ... and coming to Pasadena on May 20, taught by Aileen Oyama Hui!
Cross-training will do wonders for your technique! In particular, pilates and ballet work very well together. Pilates can help build strength, stability, and proper musculoskeletal alignment for both injury prevention and rehabilitation. In Pasadena, we are lucky to have Kathy Braidhill, an amazing pilates instructor located very close to campus. Kathy Braidhill is extremely knowledgeable and offers highly individualized training for each of her clients. She was also a former ballet dancer so her classes are especially great for dancers. We highly recommend checking out her classes--she is definitely one of the best pilates/dance fitness instructors we've encountered.
